hello.. can you hear me now???

so Carter has been kinda deafy lately. We will talk to him or say his name and he doesnt even acknowledge we are there. Then if we yell it he looks at us like we are crazy. Its not the typical selective hearing either. so I took him in today and he didnt do so well on the hearing test. The lady was like "um did you hear that?" as he had the earphones on with the "ding" noise and you raise your hand. He did raise his hand a few times, but then not on some other times..... The doc said it was good that his speach is fine. I mean he never stops talking :) but he asked Carter a few questions which he answered great then he asked Carter another question and he didnt even hear him, he didnt even respond, or look at me or anything. interesting. He has to go friday to the ear doc (not sure the real name for it ) so prayers will help and we will see what happens.

I can totally relate!! Jordin had this same problem! He's had tubes twice for hearing loss. Once when he was 4 almost 5 and then when he was in second grade! Having tubes opened up a new world for Jordin. It was wonderful! Just after he had the surgeries, we would whisper "I love you" and he would respond! We kept saying it over and over because we were so excited he could hear us! He wasn't so excited because we wouldn't be quiet! ha

Now, he just has the typically 13 yr old hearing loss......*sigh* Carter will be in my prayers!
