Here are a few ideas to help your kiddos enjoy the holiday and remember to share and give :)
One thing we did monday was make a bunch of treats (we did chocolate dipped pretzles in white and milk chocolate with different toppings like sprinkles and m & m's) Let each child choose 1 or 2 families to share with. Drive around to deliver and allow the kids to take them up to the door. Our kids were so excited to give and had so much fun!
We also had our kids make up a christmas list. When they were done we had them choose 1 item they really wanted and that would be the item to give away. This is an interesting one. Will they choose the one they really want or the one they want the least ??? It will help them to be less selfish this time of year as they can learn that so many kids dont get anything on their list!
Golden spoon has toys for tots and it you donate a toy you get a free ice cream. So pick out a toy and the kids can have a tangible reward for donating.
Lastly the mall and walmart have christmas trees covered with tags you can choose one and shop for a child in need. This is great! You choose one that has a child the same age as yours and then your kids can choose something they really want and give it to a less fortunate child!!
This season remember how awesome it feels to give and serve others!!!!!!
